I really enjoy watching your projects start to finish. I recently started restoring some of my old tools & planes. Learning along the way. I like your approach and tips. I find that doing the restoration is as enjoyable as the woodworking projects. And your kitty helpers in the shop are the icing to your videos! Several yrs ago I had a cat, Otis, who was my "shop helper". He would hang out on my bench and "help". And when we were done for the evening we would race back to the house. He always won.... 😊

I whole heartily agree with your statement that you made about work faster, it is one of my issues, and I still am transitioning from a production mindset to a Craftsmanship mindset, looking for function, and pleasing to both the eye as well as the hand, the feel of a well crafted tool is, in my opinion anyway, the main communicator to the craftsman as to whether or not it becomes a go to tool for projects, it needs to feel right then it wants to look as good as it feels. Say hello to your kitties, a pleasure to see them , thank you for the project, enjoyed watching, appreciate your attention to detail, the chisel turned into a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

I quit watching at four minutes. who in their right mind starts working on the bevel first ? Also he never flattened the back of the chisel.

If you want precision, you must do precision. I didn’t see the 4 legged quality control staff though, you have to have that seal of approval from them. Love the back ground music, thanks for sharing.
